Scandinavian Homes

They Created the Perfect Home for Their Family (My Favorite Spot Here: the Spacious Balcony)

The design of this apartment fits seamlessly into the Scandinavian style. It’s bright and spacious, with a predominant focus on items and elements that blend harmoniously within the gray-beige color palette.

Some might find the interior a bit monotonous, lacking eye-catching elements. However, I appreciate the effort the owners have put into creating a cohesive color scheme without veering into tastelessness.

What’s your take on the apartment’s interior? What aspects did you find appealing, and were there any elements that seemed unnecessary?

Let’s start with the corridor. It’s exceptionally spacious, almost resembling a separate room. It could benefit from a small bench or sofa. An interesting accessory is the ladder, serving as a hanger.

The hallway includes a designated space for a furry family member.

The kitchen, much like the entire apartment, follows a tri-color scheme—white, gray, and beige. All items, including kitchenware, have been carefully selected to match these shades.

Given that this home houses a large family with children and a pet, the kitchen is equipped with a multitude of appliances and accessories. For their convenience, there’s a specialized wheeled shelving unit.

The focal point of the living room is the corner sofa, a perfect spot for family gatherings, sipping evening tea, or watching TV. The textiles in this room have been chosen to complement the furniture, ensuring that other colors don’t overwhelm the interior. Do you agree with this choice?

In the bedroom, I particularly liked the suspended decorative table. Although, one might get the impression that candles are never lit here. The room primarily revolves around two dominant colors—white and beige.

There’s no walk-in closet in the bedroom. Instead, there’s a wardrobe with a sizable mirror, which helps create an illusion of added space in the small bedroom.

The apartment comprises three rooms: the living room, bedroom, and a guest room that also serves as a home office.

Take a look at this bathroom! Perhaps, it’s the most pleasant spot in the apartment. It’s spacious, well-lit, adorned with green plants that breathe life into the space.

Personally, I was most impressed by the balcony. It features wooden pallets (an economical and comfortable way to create a relaxation area on a veranda or terrace), a table, and a special net to prevent the cat from climbing over the railing and falling.

To conclude, I’d like to share a few interior design inspirations from this apartment.

Dried flowers in vases and candles, a classic touch of homey comfort. However, I also found the portrait of the cat endearing.

Textiles in the bedroom play a crucial role in setting the right atmosphere. They’ve adhered to the rules here: neutral colors, pillowcases in different shades, and a bedspread.

The ladder with a string of lights caught my eye. It creates a beautiful ambiance, especially in the twilight.
